Lewis Petteyford of Granville co, NC to James Yancey of county aforesaid, 8 November 1768, for 14 pound proclamation money, one certain tract or parcel of land lying on Harrell&39;s Creek, containing by estimation 80 acres, be the same more or less.  Beginning at a White Oak on the said Creek, thence runing on John Wicker&39;s line to George Anderson&39;s corner, thence on Anderson&39;s line to his corner, thence on a line of marked trees to the Myre Brach, thence down the said Branch to the above said Harrel&39;s Creek, thence down the said Creek to the first station, it being the tract of land that the said Lewis Petteyford bought of Benjam Cook in, including the plantation on which the said Petteyford lately dwelt on..  Lewis Peteyford.  Wit: Wm Green, Philip Yancey.
