Larrenc Pettiford of Granville Co, NC to Ruben Bass of the county aforesd, 20 October 1768, for 4 pounds 10 shillings Virginia currency, all that tract or parcel of land containing by estimation 50 acres, be the same more or less; Beginning at a White Oak, running a Westerly course down a branch to a White Oak near McCulloch&39;s line, thence a Sotherly corse along a line of marked trees to a Hickory, thence E along a line of marked trees to a Red Oak, thence Northerly along a line of marked trees to the first station.  Larrenc (X) Pettiford.  Wit: Lewis Anderson, Benjamin Bass.  Granville County November Court 1768.  Proved by Lewis Anderson.
